My favorite food memory would be when I would visit my Nana
Vickie and Papa Doug. My nana was always the best cook hands down, but every time
I would go to her house she would have the exact same three food items for me
waiting. Their fridge was always stocked
full with Mountain Dew Code Red and string cheese and the freezer always had a
huge bowl of puppy chow. My nana makes the best puppy chow in the world. My
mom, aunt and other grandma have tried to make it for me, but Nana Vickie has
always made the best. When I picture my child hood I think of me and my Papa
Doug sitting in the living room in his big chair drinking a nice cold Code Red
while eating a big bowl of puppy chow. Even to this day every time I go to
their house I make sure to help her make the puppy chow or she already has it
made. It’s gotten to the point where I want a bowl for when I’m there to eat
and then I bowl made for me to take home. When I do get a bowl to take home it
is normally gone by the time I get back to Missouri.

I bet they cherished their time with you as much as you loved the food!
