Dan in Real Life Questions

Dan in Real Life Questions

#1: Do you think it’s important to write about what you know?

A: I think it is important to write about what you know. You want to write about something you have a passion for. If you didn’t enjoy or know about what you’re writing then you won’t have any fun.

#2: What are three tips you would give to parents of teenagers?

A:  Give them space, treat them like the adult they are, and do get on to them for every little thing.

#5: How old do you think someone should be to date? Wear a thong? Fall in love?

A: I think fifteen is the appropriate age to date, being thirteen to wear a thong, and that any age a person can fall in love. I don’t think you can put an age limit on love.

#7: Can you know in three days if you love someone?

A: Yes, if it’s true love then it can happen in the shortest of time.

#8: What are books that would pull Marie in?

A: I would suggest the Delirium series and any Sarah Dessen books.

#18: What are some good pick up lines you’ve heard?

A: “Do you have a band-aid? Because I think I scrapped my knee falling for you.”

#30: Are you a good bowler?

A: No, every time I have bowled I have come in last a lot.

  1. Good advice--pick your battles with teenagers. I try to remember that as a teacher, and as a mom of a soon-to-be teen.
