Halloween Stories Made by Classmates

Birttany’s Story:  I really liked Brittany’s story because she used really good details that made me believe I was actually in the story. A summary of her story would be a man and woman are dating and the woman finds out he has been cheating and that she is also pregnant with his baby. Outraged by this discovery she murdered the man and his mistress, but in the end she found out that she was the mistress and he was her other man. She had been married all along and when her song turned 21 he killed he the same way she killed his father all those years ago.

Nick’s Story:  I really liked Nick’s story because he used very good details to where I could picture what was going on in my head.  A summary of this story would be a man walking home on a less taken road and as he is walking he hear a grumbling noise; desperate to get away from it he rolls and hits many trees on his way down. He then wakes up in a hospital with his family surrounding him, but the he hears the terrifying noise again.

Reece:  I really liked how Reece’s story was mystery based. His story really caught my attention an made me want to keep reading.  A summary of this story would be a man is a physiologist investigating why a few of his patients have had mental breakdowns. Each patient visited Hallowed Hills before the break down. Once he got to the town it was clear he needed to get out of their to survive and then the story cuts off and says “to be continued”…

Tonight for Halloween I am going to my friend Hailey’s Halloween Party, but before that I am going to my boyfriend’s football game tonight at 7.

Nothing is Perfect

I knew it was wrong to hate someone so much you wish they would get in some horrible accident ending their life. It’s not my fault Austin took my heart right out of my chest and stomped on it until it was broken.  Most people think I’m crazy and that I should just get over it, but how do you get over your once fiancĂ© that turned out to be nothing better than a cheater.  The answer is you don’t.
I never would of known he was being unfaithful; it was two weeks before our big wedding day and I was glowing with happiness at the thought of being Mrs. Aimes.  On a Tuesday afternoon I had told Austin that I was going to get my final fitting for my dress, he even begged me for details about my dress, little did I know it was all an act and he was just waiting for me to leave to invite his mistress over.  Driving home with joy that my beautiful lace mermaid gown fit like a glove made me want my wedding day to get here already. As I pulled up to the driveway I noticed a strange green car. I walked up the porch steps and heard a muffled sound come from inside; curious I charged in to find the noise. As soon as I walked in my heart sank and I felt like my lunch was coming back up. On the couch was my fiancĂ© with another woman. Naturally I screamed at the both of them and called off the wedding and since it happened I’ve been sitting in my house with all the lights off wondering if I will ever have light in my life again.
Since then I’ve been plotting different ways I could get back at Austin. Each day my hate grew stronger and stronger. I began to get angry with myself because I actually fell for his act and I didn’t see it coming. I should have known better; nothing can be perfect. Sitting in this house has given be plenty of time to decide what I was going to do to him; all I had to do was find some way to get him alone. I wanted him to suffer the heart ache that he caused me; he was such an indecent human being he didn’t even apologize for his actions, he was “Sorry he got caught”.
My plan was perfect. Everybody would know it was me, but I had to do it. I had to let him feel my pain. I watched him for days learning his new routine. I knew when he left for work, how long it took him to get there, which floor of the parking garage he used, and his new work schedule. All I had to do was wait for the ideal day to go through with my plan. I picked next Tuesday, since that’s the day I caught him in the act. I waited in my car inside the parking garage. It was 3:05; he will be down here in exactly ten minutes. My adrenaline was pumping; I was so happy to finally return the favor. When he got off the elevator and started walking towards his car I knew I had to act fast. I jumped out of my car, grabbing my bat, and made my way to him. As he saw me coming towards him he said “Sam? What are you doing here?” I could tell he could see the crazy in my eye and he knew he was in trouble. Before I even answered I swung the bat and aimed for the back of his head. I researched that if you hit someone on the back of the head at a certain spot they would lose consciousness instantly. After he was lying on the floor I dragged him back to my Nissan Maxima as fast as I could, I wasn’t risking waiting and someone coming down to see.
Once I got back in the car I was so proud that I had pulled it off. The next second I was driving to the old cabin in the woods; I wanted to end this relationship where it started. After arriving at the cabin I dragged him inside and sat him on a chair and tied his hands and feet down. I was going to kill him. I was going to take his heart out…
“Is that your final statement?” I replied to the police officer, “Yes. I told you, it was my plan from the very beginning.”

Halloween Spirits

The best costume I ever wore was when I was in the fourth grade. Growing up I loved the Wizard of Oz and my grandparents even bought me a pop story book. I read that book at least once a day, so when it came time for Halloween I knew exactly what I wanted to be, Dorothy. Since I already had the brown hair I thought I was destined to be Dorothy for Halloween, not to mention my dog Cody could play Toto perfectly. I braided my hair into pigtails and I tied them together with a red bow. The red bow matched my ruby red heels. I even had the little basket meant for Toto, but I used it for candy.

2 vampire fang

1 drop of ghost sweat

5 strands of werewolf hair

1 dead man’s toe

Spit of the witches using the potion

This potion is used for old ugly witches hoping to be beautiful once again. Once the witches have brewed this potion one witch must then find a young child and have them drink the potion. After a few minutes the child will start to glow and that is when the witches can start to suck the life out of them. Sucking the life out of children gives the witches youth and they become beautiful.

My favorite Halloween treats would be Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Hershey’s, and Baby Ruth bars. The best Halloween treat I’ve ever received was when I was trick or treating with my parents and in my neighborhood. In my neighborhood there is this really old couple that always passes out candy. This Halloween though they decided to give out king sized candy bars and at this age that was a BIG deal. I remember bragging to my classmates that I got this king sized candy bars.  This next one really isn’t my favorite one, but it is definitely the weirdest treat I’ve gotten. Every year at this one house the owners would give out candy, but they wouldn’t give out just candy. They always gave a container of mustard too. I’m sure my dad loved that house because he always uses mustard and he got a free bottle of it.

Halloween costumes that I’ve had in the past are a pumpkin, my first Halloween, a devil, for my second Halloween, and a princess for my third Halloween. I’ve had many other costumes, but I can’t remember what age I was when I wore them. I’ve also been a cheerleader, Dorothy, a vampire queen, Raggedy Anne, a clown, and Diva.

They Say I'm Caught Up in A Dream

They say I’m caught up in a dream…

That I don’t understand the gravity of my situation, but of course I don’t. How is a teenage girl supposed to handle that she was just diagnosed with stage four cancer? That’s why I dream, to escape this world of pain. I don’t care if I’m ignoring the bigger picture I want my last moments on this earth to be happy and I only feel like while I am dreaming. I dream about my friends and family and how happy they were before this, but I also dream of my crush since the 2nd grade. I dream that he will finally get that I like him and will come busting through my hospital door to my room and stay with me until it’s my time to go. All I can do is dream, I can’t tell you where the journey will end.

Music to My Ears

#2: What’s your favorite song? Why? Is it connected to a certain time, event, or place?

A:  One of my favorite songs is I Loved Her First. I heard this song at a wedding for the father daughter dance and ever since then I’ve loved it because of the lyrics. At that time I knew I wanted it to be the song for my father daughter dance.

#3: How has your taste in music changed over the years?

A: My taste in music has changed over the years because when I was little I would listen to a lot of pop songs, like Disney, but know I’ve grown to really like country and I like rap too.

#5: Do your friends listen to the same styles of music as you? What do you think this means?

A: My friends do listen to the same kind of music I do. I think this means we have similar personalities and it’s probably one of the reasons we get along together so well.

#10: Is there any style of music that should not be tolerated? Why?

A: I don’t think there is any music that shouldn’t be tolerated. Everyone has their own taste in music and just because somebody likes hard rock and I don’t doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be around or tolerated.

#15: Would you ever want to sing or being a musician professionally?

A: I would not want to do either of those things because I get too nervous and I am also tone deaf.

Six Word Memoirs

Finished my book, where’s the next?

Through the Window

Straight ahead I see a concrete road, basketball goal, trees, and another neighborhood

A parking lot is to my left

Today the sky is pink around me

I can always see my neighbors walking their many dogs

I see fof over the grass and dew on the wondows of the rows of cars

I see the chruch of St. Elizabeth Anne Seaton in my mind. I cannot physically see the church, but I know it is a couple of streets down on Reoublic Road

Works by Edward Hopper

This picture reminds me of when I go to Cheddar’s with my grandparents every time they come visit from Hays, Kansas. They don’t have any restaurant like that at home, and Cheddar’s is their favorite place to go, but it’s mine too. When I look at this picture I see the inside of Cheddar’s and the waitresses sitting us at our favorite table. I hear the roar of chattering couples and families throughout the restaurant and the clinking sound when silverware scratches the plate because the customers are trying to scratch the last of their delicious food off. I taste the honey butter crescents that my nana, papa, and I always eat least eat three each before our actually meal. After we finish the crescents my nana and I always order the potato soup and my papa gets ribs. He can never believe how good they are; he even says better than when he cooks them. Going to Cheddar’s is a time of lots of laughter and happiness; Cheddar’s brings us together.

Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci was born April 15, 1452 in Vinci, Italy. His real full name is Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci. Leonardo’s father’s name was Ser Piero and he was a carpenter. His mother’s name is unknown, but she was a peasant girl. Leonardo was raised by his father and step mother. He had a brother who he was very close to.

Leonardo da Vinci grew up mastering the arts of metal working, leather arts, carpentry, drawing, and sculpting. He liked to keep his private life a secret; he wasn’t sure about his sexuality. A fact that most people don’t know about Leonardo da Vinci is in 1476, when he was 24, Leonardo and three other young men were charged with sodomy in an incident involving a well-known male prostitute.

Five major world/historical events that were happening during this artist’s lifetime is the Inca empire was found, Christopher Columbus discovered America, Treaty of Tordsillas, and Portuguese conquered Ceuta. Three struggles this artist faced was he was arrested for sodomy, he was repelled by society, and the lack of contemporary technology.

The artist work mostly consisted of paintings and sculpting. This artist is associated with the Renaissance time period. Leonardo da Vinci’s most famous works include Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, and The Virtruvian Man.
Two pieces I like are the Last Supper and Mona Lisa. I like the Last Supper because I am Catholic and it reminds me of my roots and traditions. I like the Mona Lisa because I was fascinated by how he caught the emotion and feeling so well.

Art { walk}

The art I chose in class was a picture of the ocean. There is a pink sunset touching the ocean waves, but turning into a deep blue sky above. The ocean is dark blue with dark gray rocks towards the front of the picture. The rocks had water running over them, but the water was frothy/frosty making it not even look like water. This picture made me feel peaceful when I look at it and also it makes me feel connected to the earth. I can collect all my thoughts when looking at this picture because of how calming it is, I just want to think forever. This picture also reminds me of reading books because when I read books I get so calm like that. It also brings me joy because I love the ocean.

Pillow/talk

In my mind when I saw this pillow it reminded me of the Holocaust. The stripped pattern on the pillow is the same countless prisoners had to wear. This pillow was given to a family to share between the four of them. Every night in the bunker someone would try to take it from them, but their dad, weak but fierce, would fight them away. I think this pillow has seen many tears, nightmares, but also dreams that one day the family that possessed it would be free.

The Future Me

v  Two interesting ideas from the presentation Monday would be that I didn’t know that there were so many different areas of art that you could go to school for and I also didn’t know how much companies incorporate art into their advertising methods.
v  A question about something discussed would be how much does it cost to go to the Art In stature for four years?
v  In one year I would like to of graduated high school and to have a secure part time job. In 5 years I hope to have accomplished most of my college life if not all. In 10 years I want to have a high paying job and have met someone I would want to spend my life with. Also to start having kids. In 5o years I hope to be retired and sitting on a beach house with my husband growing old.
